The Apartment For 4 People

from €160 /night

Max people: 4

Bed(s): 1 super kingsize OR twin beds & 1 sofa bed,

Room size: 55m²/600ft²

Your 55m²/600ft² home away from home in central Paris. Children & wheelchair friendly. High speed wifi. Large, modern elevator to the door.

This light, airy top floor Paris apartment is over 60m²/200ft², that’s more than 30%  bigger than the average Parisian apartment. It’s ideal for up to 4 people including children who are most welcome.   The living space is very spacious with 2  large 3 seater sofas and additional chairs, perfect for collapsing onto after walking the entire city. Even when one sofa is commandeered as the 2nd double bed there are still plenty of places to sit – I can’t stand perching on beds in tiny hotel rooms!

The bedroom has a very comfortable super kingsize bed which is 2m/6ft6″ long or it can be arranged with twin beds and the blackout curtains make sure you sleep well even when it is still light until midnight in July.  You can unpack and feel at home because there are masses of cupboards and hanging space.

There is a full bathroom with a shower in the bath and a toilet between the living room and the bedroom and a second toilet at the entrance opposite the kitchen.  For those who use a wheelchair or who are wobbly on their feet there are grab bars by the toilet and around the bath. There is also a bench that can be placed over the bath to sit on.  The apartment is also wheel-chair friendly because there are no stairs to climb anywhere in the building and the elevator that takes you to the door is large and modern.

Whilst there is no TV there is very fast, free fibre optic wifi so you can still watch all your favourite movies or news channels if you are not exhausted however there are hundreds of books and some card & board games for all ages though for some reason my coasters keep all the under 3s occupied!

The large, fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need to create gorgeous French meals as there is a wonderful bakery 20 metres away, a supermarket opposite, 2 organic stores selling gluten, dairy and everything else -free products within 200 metres and an organic Farmer’s market on Saturday mornings (see local map of the area on the ‘Live like a local’ page for more information).

Wandering to the bakery every morning may be one of the highlights of living like a local or perhaps you don’t want to miss out on the same amazing breakfast as my guests staying in the B&B?  Have the best of both world’s, your large, private space and also ask for breakfast ‘room service’ to be delivered to your door, for your first morning or every morning. It will be set out for you in the dining area that seats 4 comfortably and it’s only €8/€5 per adult/child each or any day, €25 per family.

Breakfast is one opportunity for me to pop down with my cup of tea to chat and make sure you have everything you need, give you any advice you want in order to plan for your day out and generally get to know you. However I try really hard to make sure everyone has the opportunity to pop up to my apartment for a cup of tea or a glass of wine on the balcony so that we can chat.

In Winter the apartment is really warm and cozy, the heating works well and the south – facing windows let in all the sunshine. In Summer there is so much height and space the apartment stays cool, an advantage created by the sun not beaming on your lead roof for more than a couple of hours in the morning each day.
